Double Live is the first live album by American country music singer Garth Brooks. It was released on November 17, 1998 and is a two-disc compilation of live songs, recorded during Brooks' 1996–98 world tour. The album broke the first-week sales record at the time, previously held by Pearl Jam's V. when it sold 1,085,000 copies. It became the best-selling live album in the US since Eric Clapton's Unplugged in 1992, later becoming the best-selling live album in United States music history

To make sure he reached this milestone, Brooks began releasing multi-disc sets, since each individual disc within a set counts as a unit toward the final sales, thereby insuring an inflated sales total. Garth Brooks is a wonderfully talented artist. I saw him live recently for the first time and it had me feeling nostalgic. My family used to have the 1998 tour Double Live cassette back in 1998, and we all loved it! So I got my Dad the CD for his birthday. How could you not love garth brooks? He is awesome, seen him twice & amazing in concert. The whole crowd sings along!

Garth Brooks finished his three-year tour at the end of 2017, but he's not stopping there. The country superstar is bringing a live experience from the tour to fans' homes with his upcoming album, Triple Live, released in partnership with Ticketmaster. The three-disc set will feature 26 songs, a step up from his Double Live record, which documented his 1996-1998 tour.
