Hermann Prey recorded the three major Schubert Son cycles each more than once. I have not heard his Schoene Mullerin with Hokanson

Leonard Hokanson (August 13, 1931 – March 21, 2003) was an American pianist who achieved prominence in Europe as a soloist and chamber musician. Born in Vinalhaven, Maine, he attended Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts and Bennington College in Vermont, where he received a master of arts degree with a major in music. He made his concert debut with the Philadelphia Orchestra at the age of eighteen. Army after graduate school, he was posted to Augsburg, Germany

Prey's legendary Schubert song cycle for the first time on BD. Prey, best known as a master of German art song, was a worldwide celebrated baritone with an international career over 45 years at the MET, Bayreuth, Salzburg, Japan, La Scala, etc. In his finest interpretations Hermann Prey sang Winterreise and Die schöne Müllerin with a captivatingly natural phrasing that flowed organically like a river and as such was the very opposite of the more intellectual approach of his rival, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau. DIE ZEIT Online, 1998. Composer: Franz Schubert

In this recording from the early 1960s, German baritone Hermann Prey (1929-1998) performs Du Bist Die Ruh, written by Friedrich Rückert (1788-1866) and set to music by Franz Schubert. The late American pianist Leonard Hokanson (1931-2003) accompanies. I created this video from the cassette shown above, issued in 1974 on the Philips label, serial number 7314 010. The recording predates by at least ten years the manufacture of the cassette.
