Metropolis is the long-awaited sixth studio album released by British AOR/hard rock band FM, their first since 1995. FM reformed in 2007 to headline Firefest IV, and following Andy Barnett's subsequent departure, FM recruited new guitarist Jim Kirkpatrick in time to once again headline Firefest in October 2009 and record the new album

This veteran group has not been with us since their last album, which dates back to 1996 (if you remember Paraphernalia). Sometime in 1984, FM started playing a wonderful mix of 70’s Rock, AOR and a touch of cool Blues. Coming from a country that nurtured Rock music as England, their path to glory was bound to happen. However, since 1996, after changing their style, everything went to the dumpster and that was it with FM. However, staying close friends helped the guys get back to the writing room in 2007.
