Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors (1990) is the debut solo album by Scottish neo-progressive rock singer Fish. Fish had departed Marillion in 1988. Although the recordings for this album finished as early as June 1989, EMI Records decided to delay the release until early 1990, to avoid collision with Marillion's album Seasons End (September 1989).

Listen free to Fish – Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors (Vigil, Big Wedge and more). Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors (1990) was the first solo album that rock singer Fish released after he departed Marillion in 1988. However, the track State of Mind was released as a single as early as 16 October 1989, more than three months ahead of the album
Uncle Fish & The Crypt Creepers (Live). Farewell To Childhood (Live).
Album Name Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors. Data de aparición 1990. Re-Issue in 202 by Chocolate Frog Records with five bonustracks. 1. Vigil of a Wilderness of Mirrors. 5. A Gentleman's Excuse Me. 6. The Voyeur.
Artists such as Pendragon, Pallas and Twelfth Night were finding moderate amounts of success in album sales but without a shadow of a doubt, Marillion were clearly reigning supreme in the genre. Things kick off with the obligatory progressive rock epic and title track, 'Vigil In A Wilderness Of Mirrors'. Lush, heavily laden synths and organs lead into the song, and after a few Pink Floyd-esque guitar licks, things really get going. The chorus comes in strong and grand, with gigantic guitar chords, and it's all filled out with an array of piano lines, trumpets, bells and another serving of that gloriously warm synth.

Album Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors. Listen to me just hear me out, if I could have your attention Just quieten down for a voice in the crowd I get so confused I don't understand I know you feel the same way you've always wanted to say But you don't get the chance, just a voice in the crowd. I don't know the score anymore; it's not clear anymore I can't tell right from wrong anymore; I just don't understand I was sitting here thinking of exchanging a new world for old Like changing channels on the tv, or the dirt we stand in to gold
