BURNOUT interview up on the Art is Hard With Kiel Siler podcast. Thanks Kiel, we had a good time. Real talk on all the weird shit you get to experience while being in a band. West Coast Tour 2017 CS, by BURNOUT.

All Fired Up is the second studio album by the hard rock band Fastway. It was released in 1984. It is the last album recorded with Jerry Shirley on drums and also with Eddie Kramer as producer. In 1984, Fastway recorded again with Eddie Kramer their next album, with the former Taste bassist Charlie McCracken (his only contribution to the band).

You've been dazed and confused for so long Singing along, you're singing along to the same old song You've been praised and abused by the amount Of crosses and crowns you lost and found Echoing through the sound Their standing ovation drowns you out. You burnout so bright But you never saw the light No, never saw the light You let life pass on by No, you never realized You got blinded by the ride. You bought the ticket and took the ride Trying to pry, open wide your third eye It's just fear and loathing in disguise There's nowhere.

Hard rock guitar grooves make up the backbone of tracks like "Whiskey in Hell" and "Who Can Save Me Now?," always shifting to big, melodic choruses that temper the snarly instrumentation with calculated hooks. Touches of keyboards make their way onto tracks like the '90s-influenced "Freaks," and album closer "Rock to My Roll" builds on a ukulele chord progression, taking the song to a place smoother and more refined than anything else we've heard from the band thus far.

By Austin Gordon · On July 1, 2013. Compared to their earlier EPs and first full-length, they’ve stepped up on the rock aspect of their music without sacrificing the crunchy pop that got them hooked into the pop-rock music circles of bands like We the Kings, NeverShoutNever! and The Downtown Fiction. All of these songs are under three minutes or barely over that threshold, making this short and sweet.

The third album by Arcade Fire was a breakthrough commercially and exposure-wise, for the band. The ‘The Suburbs, Month of May’ 12" was the first single released. The two follow-ups, ‘We Used to Wait’ and ‘Ready to Start’ were the most succesful singles from the album in most countries including the US. The cover (there are eight different versions) shows a typical suburban home with a car parked in front. The car may also be symbolical for the perspective of the singer (and thus the listener) revisiting such a suburb, and reflecting back on his youth. The Suburbs Q&A.
