Description

Label: Hooj Choons ‎– hoojCD6 Series: Deeper Shades Of Hooj – Volume Two Format: 2 CD, Compilation, Mixed Country: UK Released: 13 Jul 1998 Genre: Electronic Style: Progressive House, Progressive Trance.

This album was recorded in December 1972 at the Rainbow Theatre, London, during a concert on which BADGER supported YES, in one of the concerts which YES recorded for their "Yessongs" album and for their film of the same name. It was also co-produced by BADGER, Jon Anderson, and Geoff Haslam, who also was the recording engineer of the "Yessongs" album. But, curiously, for my ears this live album by BADGER sounds better recorded and mixed than "Yessongs". Particularly the sound of the drums is more clear and better than in "Yessongs".

Lo Fi Acoustic Excursions is the first of two albums released by Mike Badger featuring a compilation of his various musical incarnations including the La's and The Onset, its sister album being Lo Fi Electric Excursions. Lo Fi Acoustic Excursions was released by the Generator Label in 2004. It contains a collection of songs, outtakes, ideas and sketches from 1983 to 2003. All words and music by Mike Badger, except track 5 by Bob Nolan; track 11 by Mike Badger and Paul Hemmings.

Badger were a British rock band from the early 1970s. They were co-founded by keyboardist Tony Kaye after he left Yes, with bassist and vocalist David Foster. The latter had been in the Warriors with Jon Anderson before he co-founded Yes. Foster later worked with the band on their second album Time and a Word (1970). Kaye had worked on a solo project by Foster that was never released.

This biography of a living person needs additional citations for verification. Also, in 1997 Badger created several tin sculptures for Liverpool band Space's album Tin Planet, and for their video of "Avenging Angels". He has released solo albums including Volume in 1999 and Double Zero in 2000 and has recently archived much of his previously unreleased material with albums that include: Lost La's, Lo-Fi Acoustic Excursions, Lo-Fi Electric Excursions, and Mike Badger's Country Side. Mike Badger and The Shady Trio formed in summer 2010 and have released two studio albums and two singles

Lo Fi Electric Excursions by Mike Badger & Friends. Lo Fi Electric Excursions is the second of two albums released by Mike Badger with a compilation of his various musical incarnations including the La's and The Onset, its sister album being Lo Fi Acoustic Excursions. I've owned two copies of this since it was released. Any true fan of Liverpool talent should own this. Tommy Scott sounds like an angel with his backing vocals. Paul Hemmings and Henry Preistman tow the line effortlessly. Lo-prod Li-fi at its finest. Cruise the highway, smoke one, clean the house. It covers it all.
