The Human Beinz (/ˈbiːɪnz/ BEE-inz) is an American rock band from Youngstown, Ohio. Originally known as The Human Beingz, the band initially featured John "Dick" Belley (vocals, guitar), Joe "Ting" Markulin (vocals, guitar), Mel Pachuta (vocals, bass) and Gary Coates drums, later replaced by Mike Tatman. Their only hit record, "Nobody but Me", peaked in 1968 at number 8 on the pop charts.

The Human Beinz are a better and more imaginative band than one might expect on Evolutions; Mel Pachuta, Ting Markulin, and Mike Tatman are a solid rhythm section, the songs (mostly written by Lex De Azevedo, who also produced and arranged the album) are pretty good, and even when the album's pretensions seem silly, they don't quite sink into embarrassment. But a cloud of Nehru folly hangs over this album, and while the Human Beinz pull it off (just barely), Evolutions is still the work of a band struggling desperately to chew what they've bitten off. Best known for their December 1967 top ten smash 'Nobody But Me', the Human Beinz also recorded some of the best American psychedelia of the 1960s, much of which appears on this 1968 classic. Also included here are historical liner notes and both sides of their ultra-rare final, Japanese-only 45, making this package essential for lovers of garage rock and psychedelia.
