Description
On the 23rd of August 2002, Düreforsög played four concerts in Copenhagen to celebrate the release of "Engine Machine". The band wanted to perform the entire album at unusual locations and adapt the tracks to suit the different surroundings. Performances were held from 11 to 5 o clock at ALIS Wonderland, a skateboard dome on Christiania, at Glyptoteket's beautiful concert hall, a record store called GUF at Nørrebrogade and Den Anden Opera, an alternative opera house in the middle of Copenhagen.

The closest comparison to Denmark's Düreforsög is probably Wire - certainly in their most creative period. The Danes have a similar off-the-wall spirit about songwriting, although tracks like "Interlude" hang together very well. They have a punk spirit about them, as evidenced on "A Racetrack," but also a sense of atmosphere and adventure that keeps pushing to the edge. To possess those qualities and come up with interesting material is a feat, but one the band manages.
