The album includes mostly original compositions, along with covers of Alice Cooper's "Caught in a Dream" and Charlie Daniels's "Way Down Yonder". He was a member of the popular Middleton band, the Tremors and in 1963 he formed the Country Gents, who had a top twenty hit, and toured Germany. He worked in America for a few years with the Budgies, before becoming involved with Herman's Hermits.
