Called "The Last Waltz," the show was the final concert to feature the group's original five-man lineup of Rick Danko, Levon Helm, Garth Hudson, Richard Manuel and Robbie Robertson. They were joined by an all-star cast including Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Joni Mitchell, Muddy Waters, Dr. John, Van Morrison and Neil Young, among others. All of it was captured by Scorsese, who made a celebrated concert film that was released theatrically in April 1978.

Purchase the video of The Last Waltz as well for a truly wonderful musical treat and interviews by Martin Scorsese. Talent like this doesn't come along often. 9 people found this helpful. Wonderful pressing of a wonderful album. Some songs were left out, but that is reasonable considering the length of the concert. One person found this helpful.
