Deep Dish have been house stalwarts since the early 90s, and now, with GEORGE IS ON, they content with a genre that continues to grow. Luckily, they've adapted; instead of their trademark long, deep mixes, they approach this album with more of a pop sensibility, with mixed results, from the rather bland rock-hybrid of "No Stopping For Nicotine" (which sounds more like a Morel track than Deep Dish) to the more country tawng groove of "Flashdance  . Well, this release, Dub & Sharam's first artist album in over 6 years and the first under a recently new contract with Thrive, is growing on me with each listen. It is a bit more rock-like than I expected.

George Is On, released seven years after their debut album, proved to be even more successful than its predecessor, thanks to hits such as Say Hello, and their cover of Fleetwood Mac’s Dreams (with new vocals from Stevie Nicks herself). Seven years after their last album of original productions and eight long months after the leadoff single "Flashdance" stormed the clubs, Deep Dish returned with George Is On. A slicker, more extroverted effort than their 1998 effort Junk Science, George Is On finds that album's main vocalist/lyricist Richard Morel back with the duo. The guitar-heavy "Sacramento" is one of the best cuts yet to come from the relationship, with the more laid-back and foggy "Everybody's Wearing My Head" running a close second.

2005 could well be Deep Dish's most successful year yet. The Grammy Award winners belatedly following Junk Science, their acclaimed 1998 debut, with a collection of songs that owe much to dance music's current obsession with rocky guitar riffs. Although, to be fair, Ali 'Dubfire' Shirazinia and Sharam Tayebi, the uncompromising Iranian duo, are pretty much responsible for that trend following their breakout pop smash "Flashdance". As with their debut, Deep Dish have made and succeeded in their conscious effort to move forward musically with a consistent album that's anything but a collection of club tunes. Sacramento" is a song by Deep Dish. Vocal collaborator Richard Morel provides "distinctively smoky tones" in the song. According to Jack Smith of BBC, the song derives of the musical genre of rock. Ben Hogwood of musicOMH called it excellent and described it as a "faster paced house work out"
