Jesse Perry is another blues shouter that little is known about. And it's hard to tell where his origins came from since he recorded on both the West and East coast. He cut four sides under his name in Los Angeles in 1945. Also in 1945 he appeared as the "front-man" on recordings by Happy Johnson, and in 1947 he manned the mic on sides issued by Al Wichard. In 1949 he recorded again for Vocalion with a band led by pianist Sam Price. Four songs were recorded with two of them issued, and the other two went on the shelf. That wrapped up the recording career for Jesse Perry
