Richard Serrell, better known by his stage name Richie Rich, is a rapper from Oakland, California. He currently runs his own record label, Ten-Six Records. Richie Rich first entered music in the late 1980s with the group 415. With D-Loc, DJ Daryl, and JED, Rich crafted a Bay Area album in 1989 called 41Fivin, which sold well around the Bay Area and spawned a Richie Rich solo album in 1990, titled Don't Do It. His rapping style had an influence on Snoop Dogg. In Snoop's own words.

Richie Rich is the stage name of Richard Serrel, an Oakland, California-based rapper. He had a minor hit on his own (Let's Ride) in the early 1990s and performed on one version of I Got 5 On It by The Luniz. He is notable for being an early influence on rapper Snoop Dogg, both in vocal style (they both have a laid-back, drawling delivery), and in the naming of their groups - Snoop has stated that 213 (consisting of Snoop, Nate Dogg and Warren G) was inspired by Rich's 415, named after the area code of Oakland. Richie Rich was also a good friend of Andre "Mac Dre" Hicks who was gunned down in 2004. Dre mentions his friendship with Rich as far back as on Dre's second tape released in 1990. He is largely known for his work with friend 2Pac Shakur; the pair regularly collaborated in the mid-1990s.
