Электронная книга "Fairy Tales: The Ultimate Hans Christian Andersen", Hans Christian Andersen.
Hans Christian Andersen, born April 2, 1805 in Odense, was a Danish writer and poet. In his early days, Andersen wanted to become an opera singer. In 1819 he went to Copenhagen to pursuit that dream. The short stories book "Album without pictures," released in 1840, brought Andersen even more success. In the style of the German romantics Andersen did a lot of travelling - to find himself in the world and the world in himself. In 1840-41, after visiting Germany, Italy, Malta and Greece, he came to Istambul and returned home through the Black Sea and the Danube.
The background of these pages is reproduced from a paper cutting made by Andersen himself. In 2 March 2005, the same paper cutting appeared on a Danish stamp issued for Andersen’s Bicentennial, to represent Hans Christian Andersen the artist. Andersen's popularity is not limited to children: his stories express themes that transcend age and nationality.
Hans Christian Andersen's Fairy Tales are like exquisite jewels, drawing from us gasps of recognition and delight. Andersen created intriguing and unique characters - a tin soldier with only one leg but a big heart, a beetle nestled deep in a horse's mane but harboring high aspirations. With keen emotion and fresh vision, the acclaimed artist captures the essence of the tale's timeless appeal: The journey of the awkward little bird - marching bravely through hecklers, hunters, and cruel seasons - is an unforgettable survival story; this blooming into a graceful swan is a reminder of the patience often necessary to discover true happiness. Hans Christian Andersen. Includes "The Ugly Duckling", "The Emperor's New Clothes", "Snow Queen", all uncut with beautiful illustrations.
