From St. Louie to Frisco is the twelfth studio album by Chuck Berry, released in 1968 by Mercury Records. One track on the album, "My Tambourine", is the same tune as Berry's later hit for Chess Records, "My Ding-a-Ling", but with less risque lyrics. By 1972, Chuck Berry was back at his old stomping grounds, Chess Records, and had enjoyed the biggest hit of his career with "My Ding-a-ling," off of the live set from The London Chuck Berry Sessions (Chess). Mercury Records, where he'd spent three commercially unfruitful years, decided to take advantage of this sudden resurgence of popularity on his part by assembling this double-LP compilation, containing most of the highlights of his five album stint on Mercury
