Snapshot (The Strypes album). Snapshot is the debut studio album by Irish rock band The Strypes, released on September 9, 2013. The album was produced by highly-acclaimed record producer Chris Thomas at Yellow Fish Studios, England. The title of the album derives from the band's intention while recording the album to create a "snapshot" of their live set that got them noticed in the first place. The album contains singles "Blue Collar Jane", "Hometown Girls", "What a Shame", "Mystery Man" and "You Can't Judge a Book by the Cover".

The Strypes is 4-piece rock rhythm and blues band hailing from Cavan, Ireland, formed in 2011 by Ross Farrelly (lead vocals/harmonica), Josh McClorey (lead guitar/vocals), Pete O'Hanlon (bass guitar/harmonica) and Evan Walsh (drums)  . listening to this album its hard to believe how young these guys ar. ailed by none other than paul weller as his choise for band of the year,these guys bring me back to the yardbirds,animals,&them. 14 people found this helpful.

The band's debut album, titled Snapshot, was released on 9 September 2013. It was produced by highly acclaimed (former Beatles and Sex Pistols) record producer Chris Thomas. The band's third single, "What a Shame", was released on download on 26 July with a vinyl run to follow later in August. On 27 June 2013 the band were announced to be supporting British indie-rock band Arctic Monkeys on their 2013 UK, Belgium, France, Germany and Italy Tour. Concert during the Festival Interceltique de Lorient in 2014. In 2015, The Strypes released their second album, entitled Little Victories which reached number 1 on the Irish Charts and number 17 on the UK charts and announced a tour to promote the album. They also played in Brazil, during the 'Cultura Inglesa Festival', opening for Johnny Marr. On 25 April 2017 it was announced that this album would be called Spitting Image and would be released on 16 June 2017. On 14 November 2018 the band announced their breakup through a post on their Instragram page.

Before they even released their debut album, they'd signed to Elton John's management company, toured with the Arctic Monkeys, played with Paul Weller, and counted Roger Daltrey, Dave Grohl, and Noel Gallagher as fan club members.
