Readymade Breakup’s third album – their self-titled release from 2011 – was, at the time of release, their best to date. It was still a little hit and miss but the good material far outweighed the bad, while the band’s newly found tougher sound was clearly a step in the right direction. A follow up never came and the band seemed to lose the momentum built up by the release. Everything’, on the other hand, isn’t so good. Dominated by a thin electric guitar sound and nasal, grungy vocal, the song often sounds like a quiet Nirvana b-side or a Rivers Cuomo idea that never really came to life. The slacker vibe might appeal to some, but set among the high energy tracks on this EP, it loses a lot of the impulsive fun built up previously.
