The group was formed by Johnny Johnston (born John Harold Johnston, 10 July 1919 - 10 June 1998, London). He had formed a music publishing company, Michael Reine Music, in London in 1946, and was used by the BBC Light Programme radio channel as a singer and arranger

This was our first time meeting The Johnston Brothers, and was the beginning of a great friendship. Since then, we've made lots of great music with these guys, and meeting them opened us up to meeting so many other people, and singing in some cool spots. It's really special to us to be able to still play music with you guys almost 3 years later, and hopefully although some of us are scattered in different cities we will be able to get together again!
