Greatest Hits closes with her "Dream a Little Dream of Me," and serves as a touching tribute to Cass Elliot's talent. Of the four I like Mama Cass's voice the best, but the four of them have voices that blend perfectly for the music they are bringing to us. One of their most under-rated songs, "Twelve Thirty" (Young Girls Are Coming To The Canyon) is a delight to hear again after all these years. There are some covers on this CD but every song is done very very well. This album has a very definite sixties sound to it that some might call dated but don't let that stop you from enjoying this fine music. This album probably has everything you will ever need from the Mamas & the Papas. I for one am not even aware of any of their music that isn't on this album although there are plenty of their songs that didn't hit the charts. If you are a hardcore fan you will want the five individual albums but for the average person, this is all you will need.

Cass’s London flat, from the INSIDE! Cass Elliot, or Ellen Naomi Cohen as she was born, was most famous as Mama Cass, from the singing group, the Mama’s and the Papa’s. com friend Jim Ed Green sends this info: Cass was a real smart lady, with an . of 165. Also, she had a hell of a time getting into The Mamas and Papas. All the while, Cass is carrying a torch as big as Lady Liberty’s for Denny. After the group began to unravel and she struck out on her own, SHE ASKED HIM to marry her. He turned her down.
