George Wallington Trio - Godchild (1956) Personnel: George Wallington (piano), Teddy Kotick (bass), Nick Stabulas (drums) from the album 'KNIGHT MUSIC'.
The 15 songs include concise interpretations of ten of Wallington's originals and it seems strange that latter-day jazz musicians have yet to really explore his inventive tunes. This is one of the best showcases ever of Wallington's playing and writing talents.

George Wallington: Trios. At first, bebop’s velocity made the style a private club, since few musicians could improvise in the vernacular at such a lightning-fast tempos. Speed also limited the number of musicians who could figure out the music and play it authentically
