Jurvanen released his third album, Bahamas Is Afie on August 19, 2014. The album received first place on Q's Top 20 Albums of 2014. Bahamas Is Afie received a nomination for Adult Alternative Album of the Year At the Juno Awards of 2015, and Jurvanen received nomination for Songwriter of the Year for "All the Time", "Bitter Memories" and "Stronger. Bahamas is back with a new album, Earthtones, out Jan. 19, that builds on his easy-listening energy and also introduces more uptempo tracks. The LP was announced in a non-traditional press release, written by Jurvanen himself, as the newest and totally best album yet from Bahamas, aka me, Afie. Since the release of his last album, Jurvanen admits he grew tired of the endless cycle of touring, writing and recording. Bahamas has done it again! Another album where he exceeds expectations, changes styles, and totally succeeds at being a little bit different than everybody else. The standout tracks for me on this album are no wrong, no expectations, bad boys need love too, and so free. If I had to be fair, I think Bahamas is Afie and barchords are still better albums on a whole, but this is just about right up there.
