It is not Mythos' first album dedicated to an author. In 2004 the album The Dramatic And Fantastic Stories Of Edgar Allan Poe was released. Around The World In 80 Days is the story of an English lord Phileas Fogg and his French servant Passepartout. Fogg makes the calculation that it must be possible to travel around the world in 80 days. As a real Englishman he makes a bet. During their voyage they experience all kind of adventures. They are followed by a detective who thinks they are on the run and Fogg finds the love of his life.

Around the World in Eighty Days (French: Le tour du monde en quatre-vingts jours) is an adventure novel by the French writer Jules Verne, published in 1873. In the story, Phileas Fogg of London and his newly employed French valet Passepartout attempt to circumnavigate the world in 80 days on a £20,000 wager (£2,221,600 in 2018) set by his friends at the Reform Club. It is one of Verne's most acclaimed works. The story starts in London on Wednesday, 2 October 1872.

II In which passepartout is convinced that he has at last found his ideal. III In which a conversation takes place which seems likely to cost phileas fogg dear. XXXVII In which IT is shown that phileas fogg gained nothing by his tour around the world, unless IT were happiness. But without profound appreciation of a World Music approach the album shatters. And I can’t muster that appreciatation. Which is a darn shame ‘cause all the right element are there. Like track 2 Desert Tale. It rocks and I’m on my feet dancing, but the incorporation of Arabian inspired chords, sounds and samples simply doesn’t work in my book. Instantly my dedication is jeopardized and when a male lead vocal starts announcing praying time at 4:20 (no religious bashing intended!) Tegma has lost me completely.

The main character, Phileas Fogg undertakes a journey around the world with his servant, wagering to do it in 80 days. Along the way he is considered a robber, rescues a lady from sacrifice in India, sails through many stormy seas, fights indians, crosses collapsing bridges, runs a ship with itself as a fuel and plays a lot of whist. The story is simple and fun, and shines with Verne's recognizable style - scientific, almost mathematic, with the highest regards for the main characters and full of real-world knowledge
