Even famous philosopher Confucius said, he could not fully comprehend the meaning of the Yijing. 阳明 (Wang Yangming) takes us on a journey through the deepest realms of the Yijing. Each of his albums explores the meaning of two of the 64 hexagrams of the book by musically experimenting with different kinds of samples, ranging from 80's Chinese pop music and classical music to animes, commercials and porn, while not losing his very unique and strongly ambient-influenced style. The first hexagram 小畜 (Xiao Xu) tells the story of a subject returning to its own path and evading misfortune by firmly sticking to it. The second hexagram 履 (Lü) shows us how some situations might look like misfortune, but seen from a greater distance turns into prosperity.
