All things considered, Majestic Thou in Ruin rarely achieves the sort of brilliance that might elevate Dusk alongside top American doom combos of the era, such as Morgion and November's Doom; but it unquestionably supersedes their previous release, and left some unfortunately unanswered promise in the wake of their breakup a few years later.
