Metallica: Through the Never is a 2013 feature-length film named for the 1991 song " Through the Never, " from the album Metallica (Black Album). The film follows a roadie named Trip during an urgent mission he is sent out on, and is shown together with concert footage from a span of concerts Metallica held in August 2012. The film was released by Picturehouse in North America on September 27, 2013, exclusively in over 300 IMAX® 3D theaters, and then expanded into additional theaters on October 4, 2013.
