The best known musician from the Occitan region of Limousin is probably the piper Eric Montbel, a former member of such bands as Lo Jai, Le Grand Rouge, and Ulysse; he plays the chabreta, or Limousin bagpipe. Along with him and other pipers, the region is known for Corrèze's distinct violin tradition as well as the hurdy-gurdy.

Lo Jai was formed in Lyon, France in 1980, when three members of the traditionalist band, Le Grand Rouge, joined a fellow-musician to explore regional Limousin music.

Bringing Korean and Peruvian influences to the table, Yong Jai Kim fully epitomizes the Wanderlust Musica mentality. On the first day of 2019, the Lima resident releases what’s undoubtedly his finest work yet. The seven-track She Became the Music is simply a contemplative masterpiece. Its namesake elicits a mystifying air through subtle percussion, moody synths and Andean flutes
