Dame Satan :: Ghost Mansion. I have a real affection for spooky, off-kilter, weird southern folk and country. The romantic in me wants to think the genre might be what you would hear in a modern-day Faulkner screen adaptation. Dame Satan are making this kind of music. These guys, like myself, are Southern ex-pats living on the West coast. Ghost Mansion was recorded this past Fall in their adopted hometown of San Francisco. Andrew: Dame Satan was a B-17 bomber, flown by the greatest generation this nation has ever known, downed in Belgium on March 17th, 1943. You guys are playing a show inside of a bus in this photo. Brendan: Ghost Mansion hosts parties, shows, cook-outs, and chill sessions. We used to practice there. We recorded our first album there. Chopko: One time, I was startled by the vacuum cleaner covered in a tee-shirt. We are not ghosts, but we act super natural most of the time.
