Jacqueline Taïeb's mid1960s stomp 7h du Matin, which describes an insolent French girl choosing a sweater, is a garage-rock classic, anthologised and plagiarised by knowing hipsters. This unexpected mini-album finds Taïeb revisiting it with Dutch beatniks, four decades later. Sadly, new lyrics quoting Hamlet's "To be or not to be" speech attempt to reverse-engineer an awareness of the track's pop-art profundity
