Strange House is the debut studio album by English rock band the Horrors, released on 5 March 2007 by Loog Records. The band announced the title via a MySpace bulletin on 11 January 2007 The album consists mostly of previously released material, although several of these tracks were re-recorded or remixed.

With their debut album, Strange House, they push their sound forward, distill it to its rawest essence, and give it a few funhouse mirror twists and turns for good measure. Almost half of the songs on the album already appeared on previous Horrors releases, but the ever-so-slightly cleaner production here gives more definition to their black-on-black sound. The band kicks off Strange House by revisiting their cover of Screaming Lord Sutch's "Jack the Ripper," which begins at a zombie-slow pace, then suddenly speeds up halfway through, transforming into a hurtling roller coaster.

Pugsley and Wednesday are not going to be happy. The album itself is pretty sketchy. At parts it takes off and seems to be going somewhere, but then they manage somehow to disturb the trend. It starts decently with Jack The Ripper - a howling, rollercoaster of a song that is probably the most 'original/unique' the album gets. The single Sheena Is A Parasite is nothing too special (in fact, I haven't quite understood what the fuss is all about)
