A split album (or split) is a music album which includes tracks by two or more separate artists. Star of Earendil is a hardcore/metalcore band from the northwest suburbs of Chicago, IL. Members previously in Laurelin and Hiding Remington. The name, pronounced Star of (Air-en-dill), comes from JRR Tolkien's book The Silmarillion, and was basicly a sign of hope to the characters in the story. However the band seems to have broken up in August 2002 due to one of their members going to study in Denmark.
