Doyle explains: I did the guitars when I did the Abominator record. We did two albums at once, actually. We were going to do a double album but there was so much material we just cut the motherfucker in half. We were actually done with all the recording during February of 2016, and we were just having a real problem getting the mix right. In 2013, then-former Misfits guitarist Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein released his debut album as Doyle. Abominator was a doomy thrash monster that instantly dismissed any assumption Doyle was a one-trick pony. It should have been a double album, but perfectionism struck and the devil-locked musician decided to hold the second disc back. Until now. As We Die, however, is not a collection of outtakes.

Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein is, and probably always will be, known first and foremost as the leader of the not-so-recently revived horror punk group Misfits. He's also known to a lesser degree as the current partner of Arch Enemy frontwoman Alissa White-Gluz. What very few realize about the guy however, is that he has taken time out on his own for a brief stint going solo. Up to now he has only produced two solo albums: 2013's Abominator and this year's II: As We Die, both of which will surprise fans of The Misfits because of an obvious difference in musical style

Doyle (aka Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein) has some special guests lined up for his new album, Doyle II: As We Die, which will be released on May 05th. His girlfriend Alissa White-Gluz and her Arch Enemy bandmate Michael Amott guest on Kiss Me As We Die. Meanwhile, Lamb Of God vocalist Randy Blythe appears on the song, Virgin Sacrifice.
