Guy Edward Fletcher (born 24 May 1960 in Maidstone, Kent) is an English t, best known for his position as one of the two keyboard players in the rock band Dire Straits from 1984 until the group's dissolution, and his subsequent work with Dire Straits frontman Mark Knopfler. Fletcher was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Dire Straits in 2018.

Guy Fletcher (born May 25, 1960 in Maidstone, Kent) was the keyboardist to the popular 1978-1996 British rock band Dire Straits. He joined the band in 1984, a year before Dire Straits' most successful legendary album, Brothers in Arms, which put the band in the spotlight. After Dire Straits disbanded, Fletcher continued to be associated with almost every single piece of work concerning Mark Knopfler's solo career, the band's former lead singer and guitarist

Known for his successful collaborations with Doug Flett. He has a nephew by the same name, Guy Fletcher.

Down The Road Wherever is Mark Knopfler's ninth solo studio album. Released on November 16, 2018, the album was created at Knopfler's own West London recording studio, British Grove Studios. The legendary artist has worked with long-time producer collaborator Guy Fletcher on the follow-up to his 2015 album Tracker. Released: November 16, 2018. You need the trapper man The trapper man. If you don’t want to be where lightning strikes Better let me work the way I like You don’t want to know how I fill my sacks You go out there you don’t come back You got nature red in tooth and claw And you ain’t got no rule of law And if you don’t know nature’s. way All that’s gonna stop you being the prey is the trapper You need the trapper man The trapper man.

When Guy Fletcher was born in Maidstone, Kent in 1960 music was already a way of life in the household. Guy’s Mum, Dad and Uncle had their own group ‘The Cameos’. One of my first musical memories was at the age of four, singing songs and being recorded in the Fletcher garage studio. In his early teens, he discovered bass guitar and soon got to grips with the technical aspects of recording since his dad, Ted was at the time designing and building studios. It was probably the Beatles who eventually put the seal on his future. Mark also makes guest appearances on Inamorata.
