Though I was not impressed with the film (with an interesting though odd cast list of Peter Falk, Barbara Hersey and Keanu Reeves), I was delighted by Wynton Marsalis original score, which I think is much superior to the film it was supposed to support. His feel for old time New Orleans music is very much here in this score, but not at the expense of some more modern sounding tracks that underscore some.
