Jerry Butler has a warm and soothing voice. his early cuts like "Your Precious Love" and "He Will Break Your Heart" have the Sam Cooke sound. if you like Sam Cooke or even the Impressions, this CD is worth adding. there is a nice 8 page booklet included. this is a 1987 Rhino records release. this one is out of print. Jerry Butler is still one of the best artist around. He is a true professional in every word.

By 1970, Butler was a soul-music institution. His split from Gamble and Huff that year initiated a moderate downturn in his popularity, but he remained a consistent hitmaker for many years.
