Seven Eyes Seven Horns. This is a well-excecuted album. And it should be considering that it is was over two years in the making with songs being recorded from 1998 to 2000. A detail that the casual listener might not notice is that this is actually a concept album: It's a representation of the worldview of Scaramanga, the more laid-back and thoughtful of Sir Menelik's several "personalities" (truly in the spirit of his mentor, Kool Keith)

Scaramanga's debut, Seven Eyes Seven Horns, features the Brooklyn MC better known as Sir Menelik spinning big player fantasies over sparse beats. He and co-conspirator Scholarwise go back and forth spitting rhyming non-sequiturs. The names of clothing brands, mathematical formulas, and general tough guy talk all find their way into their verses. On "Special Efx" featuring Godfather Don, and "Strip Club Bait," in which the dialing of a cellular phone forms the basis of the beat, this weird amalgamation works.
