José Feliciano (born September 10, 1945) is an American of Puerto Rican ethnicity, virtuoso guitarist and composer known for many international hits including "Light My Fire" and the best-selling Christmas single "Feliz Navidad".

José Montserrate Feliciano García, better known simply as José Feliciano, is a Puerto Rican guitarist, singer, and songwriter, best known for many international hits, including his rendition of The Doors' "Light My Fire" and the best-selling Christmas single, "Feliz Navidad". His music is known for having a mix of styles, for example including both flamenco music and mellow easy listening influences in many songs. Feliciano shows a unique exuberance in his performing, especially on songs like "La Bamba" and "Bamboleo" which show some of the greatest guitar playing I have ever heard. His acoustic guitar is up there with the greats like Paco Delucia and even the great Carlos Santana (he does play acoustic, as seen in "Maria Maria").
