RAW BLOW and Aneurysm are joining forces to spew their filth through 4 shows in February. This is coinciding with the release of the SLOW CHOKE 7" by Raw Blow and the recently released VERONICA 7" by Aneurysm. Both on Tor Johnson Records. Courtesy of Tor Johnson Records, the 2014 EP from Raw Blow, titled Slow Choke, has received a 7" pressing. The five-song effort, originally issued as a tour-exclusive cassette tape, has been reissued in a run of 300 randomly-mixed color wax. You can stream the release below. Slow Choke fuses together clanging guitars, rambunctious drumming, poppy melodies (one more step), punk rhythms, and a few sharp, math turns that you don’t see coming. While recognizably played by the same band, the songs on Slow Choke are each distinctively different. Of all of them, Don’t Try probably weaves all the band’s musical strands together most completely - and does it in about one and a third minutes. Honestly, I wanted it to be longer - there’s an anthem in here trying to get all the way out - but I’ll take it anyway
