Here I Go Again" is a song by British rock band Whitesnake. Originally released on their 1982 album, Saints & Sinners, the power ballad was re-recorded for their 1987 self-titled album. The song was re-recorded again the same year in a new "radio-mix" version, which was released as a single and hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on 10 October 1987, and number nine on the UK Singles Chart on 28 November 1987.

I don't know where I'm going But I sure know where I've been Hanging on the promises And songs of yesterday. And I've made up my mind I ain't wasting no more time. Here I go again Here I go again. And here I go again on my own Goin' down the only road I've ever known Like a drifter I was born to walk alone. But here I go again Here I go again Here I go again Here I go. 'Cause I know what it means To walk along the lonely street of dreams.

Whitesnake opened for Motley Crue when they toured the US in support of the Whitesnake 1987 album. The video features very quick clips of the actress Tawny Kitaen dancing seductively on the hood of two Jaguars (cars, not cats). One belonged to Coverdale, the other belonged to the guy who directed the video. He was the one playing that übercool guitar solo in 'Here I Go again'. After the album was released, Adrian also did the tour, for almost all other bandmembers were fired by Coverdale when the recordings were completed. Chase from Miami, Flthis song is literally my theme song i am a very lonely person.

Here I Go Again" peaked at on the . Billboard Hot 100 Chart in the Autumn of 198. hitesnake leader David Coverdale wrote this song in Portugal. While it's typically thought of as an inspiring song about facing your challenges head-on, it's really a song about heartbreak and the loneliness that comes with it. The song documents the breakdown of Coverdale's first marriage to Julia, who he tied the knot with in 1974.

Here I go again on my own Goin' down the only road I've ever known Like a drifter I was born to walk alone An' I've made up my mind, I ain't wasting no more time. Just another heart in need of rescue Waiting on love's sweet charity An' I'm gonna hold on for the rest of my days 'Cause I know what it means to walk along the lonely street of dreams

2002's two-CD Whitesnake compilation Here I Go Again: The Whitesnake Collection assembles remastered versions of all three of the band's biggest albums for Geffen - 1984's Slide It In, 1987's blockbuster Whitesnake, and 1989's Slip of the Tongue - as well as non-album mixes and B-sides. When vocalist David Coverdale first formed the band, Whitesnake didn't meet with much success in America; Slide It In changed that

Track Listings. Disc: 1. 1. Here I Go Again - Radio Version. I didn't really become that much of a fan of Whitesnake until 1984's Slide It In. In a lot of respects I think that it is their best album. 1987's mainly took what they were doing and adding in more of a commercial sheen that worked in spades. Slip of the Tongue failed because they just tried to duplicate the 1987 album, but even still, it has its moments
