Michael hedges was born in Sacramento, the son of Dr. Thayne Alden Hedges and Ruth Evelyn Hedges Ipsen. Hedges' life in music began where grew up in Enid, Oklahoma, as he flirted with various instruments before focusing on flute and guitar.
