2 celebrates the music of the isthmus, still very little known outside the region, with a selection of 20 tracks off 45s salvaged in the 2000s from the basements of local radio stations. Sound quality is occasionally shaky, but connoisseurs will find in these rhythms enough nuggets to compensate for the lack of high-fidelity sound

Panama: Latin, Calypso and Funk on the Isthmus 1965-75. I love this stuff! That's my vote for Volume 2. Go to Volume 1 if you are new to Latin sounds and want to hear music that is closer to American rock, R&B, soul etc. If you end up loving that stuff, you can dig deeper and come back to this one. Volume 3 has more Caribbean influences in it.
