Vaelastrasz is a member of the Dragonqueen Alexstrasza's red dragonflight who fought against - and became enslaved by - the vile Nefarian, son of Deathwing, master of the black and chromatic dragonflights. He resides in Nefarian's citadel of Blackwing Lair. One of the red Dragon Aspect’s strongest children, Vaelastrasz takes it upon himself to oppose the black dragonflight. This was the second boss in Blacking Lair and was also rightfully named the 'Guild Killer' back in vanilla Wow days

Vaelastrasz, or Vaelan in human form, is a dragon of the red dragonflight who fought against Nefarian, but ended up being enslaved by the black dragon within Blackwing Lair, where he served as second boss of the raid. Since the Cataclysm, as he was killed by adventurers in Blackwing Lair, he was replaced by Acride. Vaelan swore to hunt Nefarian and the black dragonflight until the end of his days
