This album is presented as three mini-albums on one CD, having suitable sections of silence in the correct places, to remind you to turn it off if you're not ready for more. what a considerate touch! On more than one occasion I found myself imagining I was listening to cassette recordings, and once got so involved that I actually left my chair to intervene in the recording process, it all having started to go horribly wrong. The packaging is truly beautiful, and if a little enigmatic, well, it's what we've come to expect

The cat is most certainly going UP the stairs. We're sure of it. - Qwyvr (r) April 9, 2015. But it's obvious that the cat is going down the stairs. First, look at the architecture of the stairwell. The nose of the stair treads is overhanging the riser, which has a pebbled texture. These shadows would only be visible if the cat was going down the stairs towards the viewer who is looking upstairs. The light coming from the upstairs landing is causing the shadow of the tread to fall on the riser: 9Gag. com and Megan Willett/Business Insider.
Trifle, in English cuisine, is a dessert made with fruit, a thin layer of sponge fingers soaked in sherry or another fortified wine, and custard. It can be topped with whipped cream. The fruit and sponge layers may be suspended in fruit-flavoured jelly, and these ingredients are usually arranged to produce three or four layers. The contents of a trifle are highly variable; many varieties exist, some forgoing fruit entirely and instead using other ingredients, such as chocolate, coffee or vanilla.
who broke down crying in white gymnasiums naked and trembling before the machinery of other skeletons, who bit detectives in the neck and shrieked with delight in policecars for committing no crime but their own wild cooking pederasty and intoxication, who howled on their knees in the subway and were dragged off the roof waving genitals and manuscripts . and rose reincarnate in the ghostly clothes of jazz in the goldhorn shadow of the band and blew the suffering of America’s naked mind for love into an eli eli lamma lamma sabacthani saxophone cry that shivered the cities down to the last radio. with the absolute heart of the poem of life butchered out of their own bodies good to eat a thousand years.
What is Howl's Curse? Howl makes a bargain with Calcifer in the flashback scene. Calcifer gains Howl's heart but is bound to serve Howl (heating water, moving the castle, etc). The problem with the deal is it strips Calcifer of his freedom and leaves Howl heartless (in the emotional sense as well as physically). In the book, it explains that Howl gave Calcifer his heart to prevent him from dying upon landing. It's also present in the film - in the last part of the film when Sophie crashes from the castle and the ring leads her towards Howl's garden. Needing to set the castle going again so that she can rescue Howl, she makes her own bargain with Calcifer (giving him her braid), offering him just enough power to run a smaller version of the castle. Why is he named "Howl"?
