Mothers Pride" (spelled without an apostrophe on the CD caddy) is a song written and performed by George Michael and released on Epic Records in 1991. It was released as the US B-side for the single "Waiting for That Day". The track gained significant airplay in the United States during the first Gulf War in 1991, where radio stations often mixed in caller tributes to soldiers with the music. It peaked at number 46 on the Hot 100 chart on release in March 1991.
The Pride is the fifth studio album from the band InMe. It is the first full-length album of new material to feature lead guitarist Gazz Marlow. It was released via PledgeMusic on 19 February 2012. The album was awarded KKKK by Kerrang! and 8/10 by Rock Sound magazine, and described on Twitter as "magnificent" by XFMs Rich Walters. The development of the album started as early as 2009
Likewise - with the notable exceptions of the obscure cover of Uncle Dog's "Old Hat" and Randy Newman's "Last Night I Had a Dream" - Mothers Pride consists of some of the group's best original material.
Mothers Pride made their comeback with their album mothers pride, released on October 29 2007 with Little Jig Records. Until their breakup in 2001, Mothers Pride performed as Mother's Pride (with the apostrophe) and were one of the most successful bands in Lucerne, Switzerland. They had national hits, such as pretend, goodbye suicide and my baby loves you, which earned them a certain local hero status.
