Sleeping Satellite" was the debut single by the British singer songwriter Tasmin Archer, released in September 1992. The song was a number one hit in the United Kingdom, and was also an international hit. Although "Sleeping Satellite" was first released in 1992, Archer and her co-writers, John Beck and John Hughes, actually wrote and composed the song in the late 1980s. It was only when Archer got a record deal that the song saw the light of day.

Album Great Expectations. Sleeping Satellite Lyrics. I blame you for the moonlit sky And the dream that died With the Eagle's flight I blame you for the moonlit nights When I wonder why Are the seas still dry? Don't blame this sleeping satellite. Did we fly to the moon too soon Did we squander the chance In the rush of the race The reason we chase is lost in romance And still we try To justify the waste For a taste of man's greatest adventure. Don't blame this sleeping satellite.
