Description

The album was a minor success, peaking at and almost producing a top forty hit with the song "Down on Me". A year after its initial release, Big Brother would release their second album Cheap Thrills which went on to become a massive hit. All rights to the band and their discography.

The third album by Jack and Meg White was the right dynamite for a mainstream breakthrough. Jack’s Delta-roadhouse fantasies, Detroit-garage-rock razzle and busted-love lyricism, as well as Meg’s toy-thunder drumming all peaked at once. 496. Boz Scaggs, ‘Boz Scaggs’.

Big Brother & the Holding Company is the debut album of Big Brother and the Holding Company, with Janis Joplin, their main singer. Recorded during three days in December 1966 for Mainstream Records, it was released in the summer of 1967, shortly after the band's major success at the Monterey Pop Festival. Columbia took over the band's contract and re-released the album, adding two extra tracks, and putting Joplin's name on the cover.

100. Johnny Burnette. Johnny Burnette (March 25, 1934 – August 14, 1964) was an American rockabilly pioneer from Memphis, TN. Along with his older brother Dorsey Burnette and a friend, Paul Burlison, he was the founding member of Johnny Burnette & The Rock 'n' Roll Trio. John Joseph Burnette was born to Willie May and Dorsey Burnett Sr. in Memphis, Tennessee. The ‘e’ at the end of the name was added later.

Picking the best rock albums is pretty much an impossible task. In terms of songwriting, dynamics, musicianship and lyrical depth, Ride The Lightning is such a huge step on from the raw aggression of Kill ‘Em All, that it could be the work of a different band entirely. Which, in effect, it was: when Cliff Burton and Kirk Hammett joined the band on bass and lead guitar respectively, their debut album - save for Burton’s solo showcase Anaethesia (Pulling Teeth) – had already been written.

Their older brother George played in one of Australia’s hit 60s bands, The Easybeats and the eldest brother Alex playing bass in the UK-based Grapefruit. Despite many line-up changes over the years, the two brothers were the main linchpins of the band. John and Tom Fogerty: CCR. Before they conquered America and then the world, Tom and John Fogerty of Creedence Clearwater Revival first played in a band called the Blue Velvets when John was still in high school. The band blazed bright until the brothers’ falling out in 1972, but no one can deny the rock’n’roll alchemy forged by the two siblings. Mark and Bob Mothersbaugh, Gerald and Bob Casale: Devo. It’s remarkable that one sibling duo can make it work in music, let alone two, but that’s exactly the case with Devo’s band of brothers.

Newly discharged from the army, Danila goes to his older brother - a gangster and a killer - to start a new life in St. Petersburg where he's soon situated in the criminal world and asked to kill someone. There his new life starts. He meets new people, including a girl, and becomes a big fan of the rock band "Nautilus Pompillius," but now he is a killer, and realizing killing is easier for him than living makes him understand he is going the wrong way. The top 100 progressive rock records as chosen by writer, DJ and prog-rock nut Stefan Turner. 1 – 25 из 100. Предыдущая. Heavily influened by Miles Davis' 'Bitches Brew', this third album from the Canterbury outfit saw the group eschew the playful psychedelic style found on their first two albums, instead producing a full-blown, double-sided jazz-fusion epic. Deeply-cosmic, and featuring a quartet of breathtaking technical displays from the nt group, this 1970 album ranks as one of the finest fusion albums of any era. 6. Gnidrolog - Lady Lake.

It’s usually the older brother of a friend who introduces you to something new, and that’s the way it was for me. ‘You gotta hear this!’ my friend’s older brother said, and he held out a copy of Fragile. According to Petrucci, Fragile ignited something in his soul, and he realized that rock could transcend the confines of blues-based structures. But the prog-rock spirit, and the musical lessons he gleaned from his teenage listening years, proved essential to Petrucci's triumphs as a player and songwriter. I followed my instincts," he says. My biggest desire as a musician has always been to try to do something different, something nobody else has done before. And from the Casino album, I got turned onto Return To Forever. It’s probably more from the fusion side of things – like The Dregs, who were another very fusion band, as well – but that’s an important element in Dream Theater.

Om-Brother That, the Youtube video sounds really slow (on the wrong speed), but pitched up it sounds like a super deep funky tribal breaks/electro track with digerdoos, dirt ass cheap right now. Bad ass song.

Om Beats is a wicked little known breakbeat track as used by Bukem in Vol.3 of the Yaman hardcore tapes. Rolling beats and a nice tribal intro make this a joy to mix. Definitely worth a couple of quid I reckon.
