Astrud Gilberto with The James Last Orchestra" was something I simply had to have, being an Astrud completest. Personal taste aside, I wasn't sure a lush orchestral backdrop in the oil and cheese 80's would suit her sonic intimacy. Having devoured everything I could from Ms. Gilberto (thank god and Verve for the re-issues), little did I know this would be the last major release from her until "Jungle" in 2002, an almost homemade looking project, but a spectacular return to form
