Royal Hunt: Tour 2016 Dates.

I had the pleasure of catching up with the keyboardist and primary composer of the band, Andre Andersen, to talk about Royal Hunt's 25+ years of music .

André Andersen (born 16 December 1961 in Moscow) is a Russian-born t and composer best known as the keyboardist and founder of the Denmark-based progressive metal band Royal Hunt. In late 1996, when Royal Hunt long-time drummer Kenneth Olsen got sick during the Moving Target tour, André Andersen called Sørensen to fill the drums for them for the rest of the tour. In a matter of 36 hours, Allan managed to fly to Switzerland, rehearse, and hit the stage with the band. He recorded the highly acclaimed PARADOX followed by a world tour with the band, before becoming a full time member.

André Andersen: "This album took a while to complet. ind you, between the very first idea and until the final mix we did two tours and released two live-album. o this one´s been in the making for quite some time. In a way it´s been very practical: you could work on it for a while, than go on doing something else and then come back later to re-evaluate what´s been done before. As a result all songs on the album are solid and well crafted, showing every aspect of Royal Hunt today: originality, catchy hooks, strong melodies, great musicianship and larger-than-life production
