Mateo & Matos is a team of two deejays and house music producers John "Roc" Mateo and Eddie "E-Z" Matos from New York City, United States. John "Roc" Mateo and Eddie "E-Z" Matos were both influenced by late 1970s disco. John Mateo started by broadcasting sets over his CB radio in 1985. It was through this self-produced show that Eddie Matos first made contact with John Mateo. They became friends and shortly afterward became professional partners.

André Coelho Matos (14 September 1971 – 8 June 2019) was a Brazilian vocalist, producer, pianist and composer. He was involved in the heavy metal bands Viper, Angra, Shaman and Symfonia and sold million of copies worldwide. Since October 2006 Matos had been dedicating his time to his solo career. In 2012, he was ranked at the list of 100 Greatest Voices of Brazilian Music by Rolling Stone Brasil.

Volume One is the debut album by the American band Sleep. It was the only album recorded with original guitarist Justin Marler, before he became an Orthodox monk. Volume One showcases a darker sound and stronger doom metal influence than Sleep's later work. Andre Matos, original vocalist of the band. Angra was formed in November 1991 by Santa Marcelina Music College students vocalist Andre Matos and guitarists Rafael Bittencourt and André Linhares. During the recording sessions for their first album Angels Cry, Marcos Antunes left the band. A number of session drummers, including Alex Holzwarth were used to finish the album. This line-up change established a stable line-up lasted from 1993 to 2000. During mid-2000 Angra split, parting ways with vocalist Andre Matos who took bassist Luis Mariutti and drummer Ricardo Confessori with him. In March 2001, the two remaining members, Kiko Loureiro and Rafael Bittencourt, announced the new line-up that included Symbols' vocalist Eduardo Falaschi, drummer Aquiles Priester and bassist Felipe Andreoli.
