Franklin Joseph Lymon (September 30, 1942 – February 27, 1968) was an American rock and roll/rhythm and blues singer and songwriter, best known as the boy soprano lead singer of the New York City-based early rock and roll group The Teenagers. The group was composed of five boys, all in their early to mid-teens.

Frankie Lymon And The Teenagers capsulized what rock and roll was all about in the days before it became a corporate industry. Label head George Goldner was already producing Lymon as a single act when they toured London in 1957 and performed the concerts on this album. It's clear that they were far from a focused, cohesive operation by this time. This has been out of print for many years, although it was briefly back in circulation in England during the '70s.
