Pantokrator is a Swedish Christian metal band, that formed in 1996. The band's name means "Lord Almighty" in Ancient Greek. Multiple members have been in Crimson Moonlight and Sanctifica. Pantokrator formed in the Fall of 1996 as a cover band. The band then decided to play songs written by themselves. The band has consisted of six members overall: Bassist Jonas Wallinder, Drummer Rickard Gustafsson, Guitarists Matthias Johansson and Johnathan Jansson and Vocalist Karl Walfridsson.

In ancient Greek Pantokrator means Lord Almighty. May 6 is the "International Pantokrator Day". Some members created a doom metal band called Holy Matrimony. Compilation Appearances: - "The Madness of Nebuchadnezzar" on Christian Deathcore: Volume 3 (Christian Deathcore, 2014).

Pantokrator seem to have established a sound of their own in this album, which is a nice mix of modern Psychedelic Rock, Folk and accesible Progressive Rock with electronic touches here and there. The musicianship is supported by some nice work on vocals by the group, which have a very folky North-European feeling. Folk elements appear also in their sound, either as. reworked rockin' tunes or in a more traditional form, based on keyboard themes

Pantokrator is a christian band formed in autumn 1996. A number of demos were made, but it was not until 2001 - when the band released their self-financed EP "Songs of Solomon" - that things started to move. In march the same year Pantokrator made an appreciated concert at the Swedish "Bobfest" festival. They also appeared on national TV in a short report from this festival.
